Understanding The Link Between Animal Abuse and Family Violence

Happy, healthy, well behaved animals make better companions. As their guardians, it is our responsibility to provide the nutrition, education, care and love that develop these qualities. At snips, we believe that a natural, holistic approach to dog and cat care is the most beneficial ~ not only for the animals, but for ourselves, our families and the environment.

 holistic animal care & welfare...

snips is short for The Spay/Neuter Incentive Project and Sanctuary, a one woman project dedicated to improving the quality of the human/companion animal relationship by promoting education and a natural, holistic approach to animal care.

Targeting pet overpopulation, snips works toward reducing the number of companion animals abused, abandoned and neglected by offering information designed to increase the number of companion animals spayed/neutered.

snips also helps to educate animal guardians about some of the common issues they may face with their animal companions, everything from safety to nutrition to training.

Finally, after several years of working in rescue, snips is now a permanent home to 34 animals, almost all of whom have come to us from shelters, as strays, or as "second hand" dogs, cats, birds and horse.

snips's goal is for every dog and cat to enjoy a long, happy, healthy life by his human companion's side, and for every human companion to know that special loving bond a cat or dog can bring to her life.

snips is an advocate for the rights of all sentient beings.

Until one has loved an animal,
a part of one's soul remains unawakened.
